I have completed my week 1, day one today. I have been wanting to do this for such a long time and today I took the first step!

Congratulations on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1, welcome to the forum, just take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck for your running journey with C25K

Thanks AlMorr 😊

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

The first step is the hardest ....

Good Luck! :)

Well done - every journey starts with the first step and you're on your way! Go slow (check out the link on slow running in the Essential reading) - good luck!

Oh well done you, starting is the hardest part and you’ve done that

Thank you so much everyone. 😊 You are all far more supportive than anyone in real life!

Ahaha, agreed! My husband banned me from talking about running. I get all the support I need from here 😆

Well done!! As someone still too terrified to leave the house to start, I am in awe of you! You sound like you have the right attitude, keep it going, you’ll do great! x

Thank you 😍 I was really nervous yesterday (and no doubt will be again tomorrow... and the next time!) as I haven't run for about 30 years 😂 and I was really self conscious of all my bits jiggling about as I was running 🙈 I'm just trying to picture myself as a runner - and how that will feel!!! 🤞🤞🤞
