Starting over again

I had a good 2 1/2 months off as my arthritic knee had started hurting. So after doing basically nothing at all I thought I would see how I would feel if I started C25k over and it was ok. Did two of the first of week 1 as I forgot to save the first one! And yes, admins, I will be careful not to overdo it!! I don’t want to have to stop running as I have got to the point where I was enjoying it.

Good to read that you are back on it. What surfaces do you run on? For an arthritic knee trail would be better than tarmac as the less even surface doesn’t cause the impact to be exactly the same with every footfall.

Sadly due to the time I have to run before work I don’t have time to go where I could run on such a surface so it’s just round the streets near me.

We all need to retire as soon as possible 🤣

Nice short strides help too... as do a few other things, but I do not have personal experience to call on, others may well have first hand knowledge to pass on.

Have a search on somewhere like runners world as they often have medics, physios and coaches discussing arthritis and other causes of pain.
