I did it! On the spur of the moment I went out this afternoon rather than after work tomorrow. And I completed C25K!! I can’t believe it really, am in shock that I have done 3 30 minute runs this week..a proper runner!!
As many will know I got to the end of week 6 in February then broke my foot. It was an awful time watching runners going past the window whilst sat there with my black boot on! The main thing that gave me hope and encouragement was the inspirational posts on this forum. So many have overcome injuries or illness or have things going against them yet they get spurred on and motivated by the wonderful and kind people on here. It certainly kept me sane during those long weeks and it was lovely to follow how everyone was doing. I was determined to start again once allowed and it was a joy to be able to begin from Week 1 again. So THANK YOU ALL for the advice, invaluable tips and just great camaraderie that is freely available to everyone who joins this brilliant support group. I will begin my consolidation runs next week with a sense of achievement and the pleasure of hopefully many runs to come. Happy running everyone 🏃🏽♀️☺️
