I never thought in a million years I'd be writing that I'd completed C25K! Not only completed, but with 3 consecutive 5K's in Week 9!
I am elated! I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that has liked my posts and photos, commented on them and also sent messages of encouragement, cracked a few jokes and laughed along with some of my running antics 😂
I have seriously loved every minute of the C25K programme. None of it was easy, mentally or physically, but with the help of everyone on this forum, you all played a major part in getting me there! ❤️
The highlights of this part of my running journey have got to be...
1. Being blessed with wonderful scenery right on my doorstep ❤️
2. Driving home naked with only a short coat on after a very rainy run 😲
3. Meeting Dracula 🧛♀️
4. Fluffy Cows 🐂 Sheep 🐑 and Alcacas 🦙
5. The endless HILLS 😭
6. The confidence I have in myself as A RUNNER! 🏃🏼♀️
7. And finally... Muscles in my calves, thighs and arse to die for! 😍
Onwards to the next challenge! 🏆

And you managed 5K too, 3 times, brilliant !!! It will be a while before I match that pace.
Your posts are great and I’m very envious of your scenery, sheep, alpacas etc (the hills not so much, although clearly they’ve contributed to your awesome muscles).
You even ran up the steps to meet Dracula while on holiday in Whitby, that’s dedication for sure.
And you definitely get a special mention for use of emojis and getting the words “naked” and “arse” into your celebration report.
Massive congratulations and on to the next stage of your excellent journey 😊 😊 😊
You are amazing. Congratulations! You really have smashed it all the way through. Thank you for your hilarious posts and your endless support. I've been inspired by you and learnt so much from you - not least the importance of having a (short) coat in the car. You're a star. As the Boss said you were Born to Run. Onwards and onwards. XX
Congratulations on completing C25K with week 9 and graduating, running in 30 minutes, well done 😀 🏃 🎓
To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE 🎓 next to your username leave a message on the September graduation post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K and graduated 🎓 🏃 😊
Graduation with distinction ! Well done you 👍 you have worked very hard,l besides keeping us amused with your stories. It isn’t easy as I’ve found out to get your carcass out first thing and so you deserve your graduation immensely ! Well done AliHC x
Mentally and physically it was pretty tough, but logistically was even tougher. Trying to fit in runs around a long day's teaching or rehearsing with the band and running our business which sometimes has events on until 4 o'clock on the morning!
You haven't got long to go before your graduation either, so I'll be cheering you on all the way 🏆 xxx
Hiya Ali, That’s is a logistic nightmare ! It must be even more so rewarding knowing that you have done it under the hardest of circumstances when balancing life / work too. I’m a train driver so I’ve been running at 5am some mornings (crazy as it sounds) before work depending on what shift I’m on so I appreciate how hard it can be..... some days getting home after a long shift the thought of doing this is a killer but glad I’ve got this far and achieving this spurs me on, non the less - I know I can do this. 2 more runs to go, tomorrow afternoon and Friday morning haha I’ll be listening for your cheers 😜 xxx
Thank you very much IannodaTruffe ❤️ And a special thank you for all the work you put in as Administrator! And thank you for all the info above! I will take it all on board!
🥳🥳🥳🥳👏👏👍👍 AliHC, you legend!! So chuffed for you and clearly completing C25K where you did took you to levels of ....Peak performance!! 😂🤣
Hope you’re going to hang around for a while post-graduation as I’ve done to encourage others and keep the positive banter flowing....plus I 😢 at the thought of never seeing a a Yorkshire 🦙 again!
What next then? Parkrun? Charity race? Consolidations?
great job I can,t wait to graduate. Just finished my first 25 minute run and did better than I expected. The program and support goes along way. congratulations !!!
Oh that’s so fabulous to hear! Well done you complete star - and 5k!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve loved your posts - I just wish I was joining you on the finish line 🥺 Keep posting, I still want to hear about your adventures!!! 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
