I am on week 7 struggling so much I repeated a couple on week 4 in the past I gave up but still going on a treadmill, you think it will get easier but it seems to get harder, however I look back to when I thought 10 minutes was too much and hang onto that thought

I’m just at the end of week 7 and I can honestly say I always say this is getting harder or I just can’t do this BUT here I am wk7 run 3! It doesn’t matter if you repeat weeks what matters is that you went for that run/walk. Just remember why you started. You need to feel proud of what you have achieved so far. Give yourself a big pat on the back and stop downing your amazing achievements. You can do it and at your pace. Xx

Totally agree. I’ve been the same as this every run and now I’ve graduated and am regularly running for 30 mins, still feel the same but have to remind myself of how far I’ve come!Keep going!

Well done on getting to week 7 - I bet when you started, week 7 seemed almost impossible, but here you are, yay! So that just goes to prove you are resilient and capable. I found weeks 7 and 8 tough I have to say, I think it’s because it’s not the middle of the program and the excitement of week 5 run 3, and it’s not quite the end. But you can repeat runs, slow down even more, knowing that you can do this! Best of luck! 👍👍👍👍👍

Well done on your progress !If you have got to week 7 then you can certainly complete the program .

As you said , look back to when you couldn't run for 10 minutes.

If the runs are a struggle then the best advice would be to slow down more , remember, this is about building strength and stamina so don't worry about pace .

Make sure you keep hydrated and

run at a conversational pace

Well done on getting to w7. That is an achievement! Every run is building inside you and preparing you to go further. The mantra on this forum is to slow it right down. So many people have to fight against the pace that they naturaly want to run at as it really is far too fast for the length of time you are going to run for. Defiinitely not the 'running for a bus/train/plane' speed! You need a completely different kind of pace. Can you try to go much slower next time and see how that feels?

Are you running too fast?

Slowing down to the recommended easy conversational pace makes it more achievable and for most, more enjoyable.

Say this sentence out loud to yourself "Am I going slow enough to enable me to speak this sentence in one out breath?" If you cannot, you are going too fast.

You may find distraction helpful, so that the last things you think about are time and the physicality of running. If music doesn't do it, try podcasts or audiobooks. I used to give myself a running commentary on everything that I could see, hear, feel and smell as I ran, in full florid sentences, although that won't work so well on a dreadmill. Can you not run outside?

Many people think they are not going fast but are still going too fast to hold a conversation, which is the optimal pace to develop your body's adaptation.

Well done you’ve come this far now through hard work and determination and should be so proud of your achievements! 👏👏 W7 is a mental challenge and I find it helps to take it really slowly and don’t put too much pressure on yourself. You CAN do this, you just have to believe it 🏃🏻‍♀️👊

I love this little man I don’t know how but am on my last run but was a bit under the weather so missed a run but honestly I am exhausted after 5 minutes and have no idea how I have got here 😂 but I can’t give up as I will think done it not go and end up going backwards but everyone’s support is brilliant

You know about the toxic 10? First 10 mins are usually the worst while your body gears up. After that it should feel easier. You’re doing really well.

That’s exactly what it feels like after 5 minutes I think I have had it and it’s only 5 minutes
