Week 8 Run 3

When I got hone I was so disappointed to see I'd run 100 meters LESS than W8R2 in the 28 mins. Moaned a bit then my partner pointed out that I cldn't possibly compare the two runs as they were different routes, with different roads to cross, I jog on the spot when the lights are against me but of course this doesn't gain me any distance!! Calmed down a bit and decided to be pleased I'd finished another week instead of cross.

3.14 km 28 min 9.03 min/km

Thanks, I’ll push it to the bottom shelf, and stop writing about it. 👍

As others have said, the distance is irrelevant. What's far more important to your health is the duration of the activity.

it's a decent distance anyway - GPS isn't accurate - even if you run the same route, it's possible that one would show 100m more or less.

If it were me and you stick a good hill in there I'd do a lot less

So glad you stuck with it!

Thanks, I avoid hills ATM, that can come later when I feel more comfortable!

Well done on your progress. Stats can be interesting, but since we're not elite athletes they shouldn't be of any great consequence. I try to practice some stoicism when I look at them, after all covering a certain distance in a certain time is only one tiny facet of running and not really the most enjoyable one.
