Week 8 Run 1....happy!

Thank you to everyone for their support on Friday, it really did help and today i ran for 28 minutes non stop!

No screaming swearing or crying, and I could still hold a conversation during my warm down. In 40 minutes I travelled 4k, 12 mins walking a km and a 28 min 3km. I carried on walking to round the number to a whole ☺ once I've done 30 minutes and graduated I'll work on me speed so I can get a decent 5k time.

Again, thank you all, you are amazing 😁

  • That's fantastic!  Well done, you! 🏃👏🎉

  • Just get to Graduation, slow and steady.. then think about distance and speed...at this stage it's a journey, not a race.. so, enjoy it :)

  • Thanks oldfloss,  wise words...Twas a great run, hope the next one is just as good if not better 😀

  • Week 8 buddies! Well done!

  • I think I'm still in shock and my legs feel good!

  • I'm only a few weeks post-grad so am certainly not experienced but it's amazing how you do start to realise that your own pace and distance is all that matters :) A decent time is one YOU are happy with :)

Sounds like you're doing great and only 5 runs from graduation :)

Amazing, eh? Well done you KT304 :)

  • 5!

Awesome. I had yet another rough day at work, I really did fancy just grabbing a run but don't want to overdo it.

Looked at parkruns too, there are a couple near to me, I noticed when looking at the results page that some finished in an hour or so, I think if I did better than an hour on my first one I'll be happy :-)
