Back to 5k!

Just ran my first 5k for a while, after 6 months AF and a recent short relapse (recovering alcoholic now 1 month AF again😬).

I could only manage about 2k a few weeks ago and it’s been an effort working my way back up. But here’s the thing; my last run was 4.6k and a bit of a struggle, but this morning I was on 5.3k when I checked so I stopped at 5.52 and it felt relatively comfortable compared to my previous runs this month.

I guess it just goes to show that you shouldn’t be discouraged by a bad run or two (or indeed anything else for that matter).

Happy running people!👍

Well done, you lose hardly any condition from not running for two weeks, after that the loss is gradual. Slow and steady does it.

Enjoy.

Well done, the challenges are all in our minds and on a good day we can achieve anything! Well done with the AF lifestyle, it's worth the effort.
