Hi Everyone

Just completed C25K on Friday, super happy but not running 5K just yet. Looking for advice on the best way to reach my 5K goal.

Then take a look at the consolidation club here ⬇️

As suggested in the consolidation club , it is advised to continue running the 30 minutes of week 9 for several weeks before trying to increase distance or pace .

Then increasing gradually one or the other slowly at not more than 10% of your previous weekly total .

Happy running ! 😁👍

Very few people run 5K in 30 minutes, I couldn't, you will get there. The goal of C25K is to get you running for 30 minutes 3 times a week or 5K.

This post includes a plan to get you up to 5K.

This post explains more about consolidation and has ideas for what you can do during this time and includes the consolidation strength training plan and using the C25K+ podcasts to help you develop your speed, stamina and technique

Well done. You will get to 5k if you want to. It might take a while -depending where you are up to just now of course. I recommend you have a look at all the different options and then pick something that you feel comfortable with and works for you. Realistically if you do your consolidation runs, then keep running and increase your times gradually, it will come no matter which method you take. I wanted something really simple, so I loosely followed the Jog Scotland plan - just until I got to 5k, which took me a lot of weeks.
