Second run done

I kept a record of my runs when I did c25k in spring 2020 - my pace is a good 20s/Km slower than then for same run! It’s an illustration of just how unfit I am now ☹️ hopefully will give me motivation to continue and improve. onwards and upwards!

I wouldn’t even compare. You don’t need to even contemplate pace until after you graduate! Plus slower is better for developing your aerobic base. Plus less recovery 👍🏽

I’m on my second time around, too, due to back problems last year. Slow is OK. You need to run at a comfortable pace. You should find your speed will gradually improve without having to force it. I have been doing my runs intentionally slower this time and my breathing has been much easier as a result. By the end of week 8, I was surprised to find my pace was better than it was after graduating last year as my fitness has improved.

Would agree with Tasha99

I wouldn't compare .And certainly wouldn't be disappointed

Just run at a conversational pace as advised in the program guide and enjoy the journey again !

Happy running !

Worry not Crittermad I'm with Tasha99 less is more, that slower pace will benefit you as you progress, and the heat......... Who wants to tear around I'm this weather 🥵

Just enjoy your runs, improvement will come in time.

I’m just starting again too and also going slower this time. At least doing it again, I know I can trust the process. In a few weeks we’ll be running further and faster than we can now! Good luck Crittermad !

Yes thanks, I do trust the process, it was just a bit of a shocker seeing in black and white how unfit I had allowed myself to become - good luck on your journey!
