Rested, recovered and managed Wk 3 R1 and ready for more.

A quick update after my last post of pushing myself too much too soon and getting really sore knees. It took almost 2 weeks for me have zero aches/pains in my knees and shins and then another week to get my motivation back to get back out there. But I made it and after redoing 2 of the Wk2 runs, I managed to complete Wk 3 R1 yesterday and felt great. I have reduced the length of my stride and tried to go much slower and it's helped a lot and I've also tried to stay of the harder paths and loving the new scenery that comes with it.

Thanks for all of the help and guidance it was appreciated. Roll on R2, I almost can't wait...!

Thank you. The hardest part was getting back out for that 1st run again but back on the wagon again now

I had the same experience during week 3 except my pain was caused by a massive cycle ride on my ‘rest’ day. It took me 2 weeks to recover as well. I completed week 4 on Thursday and planned to do W5R1 today but got twinges in my knees. Decided to have another rest day.. Hope to run tomorrow instead, I’ve no intention of overdoing it again.
