Week 8

Today was run 1 of week 8 and though my legs felt like lead at times I got through it and (almost) enjoyed it.

I’m still not fast but I’m seeing improvements and that’s enough for me - just now!

I originally started the plan just to prove to myself I could do it, with no intention of continuing once I graduated, yet here I am on the second last week planning on how I’m going to get faster/go further once I complete the plan.

Well done.

Heavy legs can be symptomatic of poor hydration. As a runner you need to drink a minimum of 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.

Thanks for the tip. I generally drink 1.5/2l per day since starting couch 2 5k but will try drinking an extra litre and see how it goes
