Hello people, remember me? It's been a while....
To get you up to date, I had 'a flu' at the beginning of 2020, with a cough that took months to go, so running was out of the question, but I walked around 6k a day, all around my (very) hilly village. I gradually started running again, but then Spain went into severe lockdown last year, and running became illegal - seriously. I threw myself into the arms of Joe Wicks, and he damn near killed me. Whether it was him, or the excessive walking, I know not, but I started to get some really bad hip pain. But as soon as I was able, I started running again, my pace increased, I was fine - but it didn't go.
Long story shortened (a bit,) I finally got help this week, and I'm on the bench for at least 3 months. Muscle damage to the gluteus muscles, and a touch of arthritis. Distraught, I just bought new running shoes and some incredibly outrageous leggings!
So I'm back to beg your forgiveness for being a slack Alice, as it were, and ask for your advice - what can I do to strengthen the muscles and get back out there? Anyone? Please?
