What are you panicking about?

Don’t panic! Take it slow and follow/trust the plan 😊 and follow all of the amazing advice from the couch25k experts on here! I can’t actually believe that I’ve graduated and now have run on my own and I am overweight! I quite enjoy the running which I never thought I would! Good luck!

Hello and welcome 🖐🏼

Scared - why?

Panicking...... no good to anyone....ever.

Don’t overthink it, don’t think yourself out of it before you’ve even begun. However, you do need a certain level of determination to start with!

One of the lessons we’ve all learned through this programme is how our mind will challenge what our bodies can actually accomplish.

Overweight or not... your body is the most brilliant machine you’ll ever own!

Read everything you can on this forum, learn from other people’s posts. Knowledge will help massively. ☺️

When I started C25K a year ago, I was 51, over a stone heavier than I am now, and had never ever run before. Two weekends ago I ran for 10 miles with no stopping... and enjoyed it. The person I was a year ago would not recognise me.

"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out of your door. You step into the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to." (Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings)

Hi Welcome, enjoy this experience. I understand the apprehension but the feeling after that first run will keep you buzzing and give you the incentive for more!!!

I am similar it you in my forties and around 3 stone overweight but I am half way through the programme and i just love it!

I love that half hour or so to myself, the freedom to do my ownpace and race with myself 😀

Just go for it!!
