Week 4 Complete!

I’ve completed week 4! Very proud, following my initial challenges with w4r1! I found today a bit more challenging, although I suspect it was due from accidentally starting off slightly faster than usual (I realised I did an extra 0.2km today compared to the last 2 runs, and the not-incredibly-accurate inbuilt health app on my iPhone measured longer step lengths!), plus not coming straight off a horrendous 6.30am work call, whereby I’m normally (slow jogging) on rage and adrenaline!

I’m still not ‘enjoying’ running, but REALLY enjoy the feeling all day after! I am also massively proud of the fact that I’ve achieved 48 minutes of slow jogging this week...WOW!!

Thank you ALL for your continued supportive comments, advice and personal insights on your progress and development! I live alone, and life has been pretty tough recently after losing my Dad, and my close friends moving away during Covid - I’m not looking for any sympathy!! - but I am SO GRATEFUL to anyone and everyone reading my (rather boring!) posts, and giving me encouragement. It would be much easier to quit, especially as I’m not finding this in any way easy; but it’s genuinely because of all of your support that I’m determined to complete the couch to 5k! ❤️ I am truly grateful for you all!!

ROLL ON week 5, I’m (albeit apprehensively) ready for you!

Thank you 445600 !! I think the key to my success will be continuing to post on this forum, and us keeping each other going! SO GLAD to hear your stitches are no more- excellent work, and a huge congratulations on completing w5r1! I am really looking forward to hearing how you find w5r2 & r3! My biggest problem is my lungs and breathing...I fear I’ve done irreparable damage from smoking for so long; my legs are fine to continue, it’s my lungs that are screaming throughout!

I will let you know ...... my breathing isn’t good but slowing down and finding pace has helped me tremendously. 😀
