Hello everyone!

Just thought I would introduce myself in my first post on here. My name is Georgie and I am a student nurse. I’m doing C25K to get fitter/lose some weight, and also have recently signed up to Race for Life 2020 ☺️

Just completed week 4. The first 2 runs were really tough I found, but today’s was good! Could be because it’s cooler today!

I’ve finally started running where people I know might see me😂 week 5 looks really hard, if anyone has any tips send them my way!

congrats! i'm also a student, and just started c25k today, for the same reasons as you. running where people might see me has been one of my biggest reasons for not exercising, but i went on a run with my sister and it helped to reduce my anxiety about this ☺️

Well done! It’s a good programme, and really teaches you to pace yourself. I’m at the stage where when I run I switch off and don’t even pay attention to who’s looking at me!

week 5 is a mental challenge, the programme has prepared you for the physical one, now you have to overcome the worries and just do it (channel your inner nike).

seriously, you have done everything you need in weeks 1 to 4 to allow you do to week 5, you just have to believe it, the programme works!

Thank you! I know once I start it’ll (hopefully) be okay. You’re so right, it’s the mentality of it. Positive mental attitude will be needed!
