Definitely a run of two halves today. The first eight minutes went very much to plan - a slow, steady jog out last the village hall and church, and out to the far end of the village. The walk was along the sort-of main road, turning around at the little underpass, and heading back the way I’d come.
The second eight minutes started ok, but from about half way through I was definitely feeling it. Laura called half time on it a bit sooner than I was expecting, and maybe that lulled me into a false sense of security, because despite being downhill or level for the last three minutes, they were an exercise in stubborn. Never mind ‘dig deep’ - I was digging to the antipodes! My legs were telling me to stop, my mind was telling me to stop. Only my Stubborn kept me going.
I really couldn’t have run slower - I tried slowing down but that just made my legs even more tired. And faster was really not an option at any point, obviously!
I’ve no idea how I’m supposed to get through the next run - but will cross that bridge when I get to it... A couple of days recovery first!
