Finished W9R3 on a bit of a low note. Pulled an intercostal muscle on my rest day trying to start a new lawn mower which in the end I sent back. At 6-30 this morning I took a couple of Ibuprofen and headed out. I soon found that breathing normally was ok but deep breaths hurt a lot, so set off very slowly. I did, briefly, consider postponing but then became a bit annoyed with myself. I hadn't failed a run yet and I wasn't going to fail this one! In the end I managed to run 4.1 km in 30mins and slow jogged on to complete 5km in 37min 8 secs. By comparison I ran 5.04km in 31min 34secs for W9R2. Looking on the bright side I did complete in 9 weeks and ran over 5km several times.
I would like to give a big big thank you to all those that run and contribute to this forum. C25k has been a great experience and has made a big difference to my overall health, and of course thank you Laura!
PS I wonder if Mo Farah cuts his own grass?

Sorry about your injury regarding the lawn mower, who knows about Mo Farah cutting the grass, he may, it will take him about 26 minutes, about the same time as he ran the 10,000 metres.
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 9 and graduating from C25K.

Well done Snail61! That’s brilliant. Especially as you had that naughty lawnmower incident to contend with. I bet you’re so pleased you didn’t postpone! Many congrats 🥳🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆.
