Overcoming the Mondays W7R1

Just was not feeling it at the start today. Despite warmup stretching, I just felt stiff. Still I knew that Beastie_MCCXIX had done it already, so I took encouragement that I could do it too. It was past halfway before I felt like I was getting in the zone. I've a new playlist, so I may well have been going a little too fast at first.

But once I was going, that was it. My brain told me to stop a few times. 'Never!' I laughed in the face of fear. Not really, but I just told myself I could do it. As we got to towards the end, I felt I'd more in me, so I speed up a little. Mostly to compensate for the dude that went flying past me at the 3/4 mark making me feel bad about my pace.

I read a comment earlier about knee compression. While I don't have a pair for my knees, I do have one, so I put in on my weaker knee... WOW! what a difference. Matching pair ordered. I need to get socks as well, but with Brexit, it's one order at a time to keep under customs limits.

Seriously folks, thanks to all of you that are on here helping and encouraging each other. I really do think about you and the advice here when I'm out there.

when I start to flag, I take some great big breaths to get loads of oxygen in me, and find that helps a lot. Also I arranged the run so that the last few minutes wer downhill, which also helps !! 🤣

The end is always uphill for me... It is what it is. 😂 I keep forgetting to bring water. I even have the bottle ready.

Haha. The last time I took water, the bottle leaked, fortunately missed the phone 😁

I'm really not hydrated enough, even if I've been drinking before the run.

Top man, looks like a few of us took some time to get in the groove today. We are starting shout down our inner thoughts which is a great thing. You are ready for the next run.
