Feeling good
Well done Hand2021, you’ve made a great choice by starting the program. Just take it slow and steady and you’ll be fine. Don’t be frightened of posting on here if and when you need support or encouragement. There are loads of friendly people on here who will be cheering you on!
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Well done Hand2021! Keep going! I ran my first ever 25 min session y'day, and I NEVER thought I could run for a minute, then three minutes, five minutes etc. I just keep taking my time and repeating sessions, I caught Covid at Xmas and was off work for three weeks. So, in January, I just started again. My advice is, don't feel that you must just go from week to week in the programme. Go at your pace and what works for you. It does not mean you are progressing if you take longer. Instead, it means that your muscles and slowly building, and your stamina is gaining in strength. Look after yourself, take your time, and you will get there. My best wishes to you
