I'll put myself on this list of over 60runners! 61 and running my first 10k run next Sunday and I can't wait:-) its such a buzz. Keep going everyone were doing fab !

That is brilliant! I'm a year younger, an inch taller, and my BMI only just moved from obese to overweight two days ago. However, the best pace I can manage over any distance averages out at a bit over 14 minutes per mile.

The point is we are getting out there and having a go, we are not just sitting on our rear ends and making no attempt. Went out for a cycle today, ended up doing 24 miles. You will get better, it takes times as you know and with the warmer weather coming there is more incentive to get out. My dreamis to do 5k in 30 minutes, not convinced I will get there but will have fun trying.

I've been trying to do that so I could hopefully do the 10k in an hour but I've only got this week before race next Sunday and managed 5.4k today in 38minutes so don't think I'll do it but I'll keep trying and eventually do it and so will you !!:-)
