I really didn't want to do it but somehow I managed to whack up the old ginger and got myself onto the treadmill. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was rather worried about doing my 'very brisk walking' for a longer duration but I managed OK. I increased my brisk walk speed a little because I could do so with ease but the 'very brisk' speed is my top limit at 4.8 occasionally dropping to 4.7 towards the end of the final two 'runs' is as much as I can manage.
Knee strengthening exercises continue on a daily basis.
pssst I think if I stay away from the evening tipple (or two) of single malt I would do a lot better!

That's 4 more than you thought you would do a couple of weeks ago so you are doing well. It does get easier, even as it gets harder. I am having one hell of a month. 68th birthday, dry January and the longest dry for over 50 years and 7.7 K today. Anything is possible if you want to do it.
7.7k GORDON BENNETT are you really 68 or are you codding me? Stap me I'm definitely clambering onto that treadmill on Wednesday for W2R2 and errrm I was 65 last Monday and am determined to wring my pension out of the DWP for as long as possible.
