The 5 year old (Luke) decided he wanted to run with Dad (me), so let’s start couch to 5k again and see how far we get before boredom strikes him 😂
Very impressed, he managed the 6x 60s intervals better than I did when I started out! Looking at Strava it looks like he’s comfortable at 8’ 30”/km. Had a conversation with him on the running bits to get the pace right.
Next run for Luke is Wednesday - home school PE out of the way 😂

I can see that your son Luke is a future sub 20 minutes 5K runner, once the junior parkruns are back register him with your nearest parkrun.
Welcome to C25K and the forum, congratulations on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1, well done to you and your son Luke, take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, no running on consecutive days, good luck for journey with C25K.
Gorgeous photo! I did 1 C25k run with one of my boys when he was five. He still talks about it nearly a year later. He was so proud of himself ❤️🏃🏻♂️Enjoy! Go Luke!
We've just completed 5k with my husband, son (10) and daughter (12) have to say has been brilliant. All supporting each other. Went for the first run post 5k without them as they both have a cold and was not as enjoyable and felt very longggg😀
