now you all know by now i am a woman of my word...( and by the way, i am still totally excited about graduating....i am still feeling all warm inside... and didn't take my medal off for 48 hours!... ) i decided a few days ago the best thing for me is deffo to do the whole programme again paying attention to plodding less and jogging/running more... and for me its not about speed, though i am going a bit faster, its about stamina. and anyhow, before i bore you all to death, i did w1r1 yesterday and it was a blast. for the first time ever i enjoyed it! and i was proper jogging/running, i felt like a runner! i am so, so happy about this. i am glad i made this decision. its deffo the right thing for me. and in 9 weeks i can start my consolidation runs. 9 weeks takes us into spring which heralds the call for me to have bought a whole lot more gear and get outside. i know this is right for me and i really want your support cos you all helped so much the first time around. i am also going to invest in a watch. and i made another life changing decision too... running is now for life. you made a runner out of me! thank you
definite decision: now you all know by now i am... - Couch to 5K
definite decision
i have been told by someone important on here that there is no right or wrong way to do this, just the way that works for you , and that is whats going on here.
Whatever works for you, but it is probably not maximising your stamina training, which continued 30 minute runs for the next 9 weeks would do considerably more effectively.
Many have started as you suggest, but I have never heard of anyone completing the course in this manner...........What happens when you reach W5R3?
Let us know how you get on.
Well done changing-woman that sounds like a great plan to me! You know you can do it this time so take the time to enjoy it🏃♀️🙂👍
You’ll always get my continued support, changing-woman, you’re what this programme is all about. 👍🏃♀️
i know i can do this...
If that’s what you want to do, then go for it! You will enjoy it more because you know you’ll be able to do it. 👍
i was actually smiling during the run... honest!
Fabulous post! I’m loving the plan...you defo do you!
👊💪🐌🐢🏃🏻♀️🌟
Ok maybe do the plan again if you want but how about adding in 5 minute jogs at the beginning and the end, at least for the first few weeks. I am supportive. Still think you're barmy, though.
I agree with Rennur. I've seen advice on here, that when going back over the programme, just do one run for each week until you get to week 5, then when you are running for 20 minutes carry on from there doing the 3 runs each week.
Happy Running, whatever you decide, the thing is, you are doing it
