Hello lovely runny people, it's so nice to be back on c25k. Long story short, I started running in 2018 and graduated that June. Some illness and injury ensued, and my running stopped and restarted a few times. I restarted c25k last year, and was out on a run when I slipped and broke my ankle last June. Seven months later, my lovely NHS physio has given me the go-ahead to restart c25k again. (Again again? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜)

So, off I went, up and down the street outside my house, in between rain showers. I will say now that the jogging sections were very slow and careful. If you've seen Japanese slow jogging, that will give you an idea.

This could take me quite some time because I'll have to be very slow and careful, but that's ok. Happy running, everybody๐Ÿ˜Š

You take your time grumps; we donโ€™t want any setbacks!! Too icy for running here today...so I am being good and waiting for a thaw. ๐Ÿ˜‡

Welcome back to the forum and well done on getting started again.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thank you so much, it feels very real suddenly! My lovely NHS physio would be delighted if I follow all this good advice, I know I would hate to mess this up.

Hello again! ๐Ÿ˜ŠThanks Pap, I'm going to take it very carefully. I'm following a c25k course with my running club, and it starts much gentler than the one on here. I'm only running in daylight, when it feels safe underfoot. Once bitten twice shy!
