Completed my first 25min run!!!!

It started off as a struggle. The whole first 15mins were hard, I had started off at my normal running speed but I knew if I wanted to get through it I had to slow down. After slowing down and getting into that rhythm it was more fun and easy (!). I loved it and sped up for the last few mins and felt like I could keep going! It was great in the end!!!

Brilliant run Justdoit4u we often set off too quickly, you realized and slowed it down 👍 evolving as you get more experience well done 🙂

Well done.

Do you know about the Toxic Ten? healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Once you do, you realise that there is no point pushing hard at the beginning of a run.

I didn’t know but have just read it, thank you. I didn’t want to push hard because I thought I won’t make it to the end. Had to keep reminding myself slow and steady. It was just changing my mentality because I was thinking I did my last run at this pace so I should be doing it now too but I guess it’s not a hard and fast rule! Take each run as it comes and keep on going. I’m so happy to tell everyone I’ve ran 25mins (not telling them how slowly though!) 🤣

Well done! It's quite a discovery for beginners when they find *that* pace - it makes the whole thing so much more enjoyable. And enjoyment is the name of the game 😉
