I was wondering what happened to you Tbae, sorry about the pain in the leg, glad it's better now, 3 weeks is quite a long time between runs, perhaps a short run from a earlier week of C25K before you run the final run of week 9.

I will see what my telecon consultation physio suggests on Friday.
Itβs a saga now Alan that has gone on for 3 months.
Probably I need to be scanned now to confirm itβs not a stress fracture.Not sure if itβs muscular.
Tbh as a senior runner and trying to do the right things and under present or so called normal circumstances I question the existence of adequate support.

Aw thanks Bob. Yes, all good. Work tough right now, very, very busy, long hours etc. But of course grateful to a. Still have a job and b. Keep working through all the shenanigans for some sanity! π Emoji are just the best π€£ keeps it light π‘ and fun π and that's what it's all about ππ»π
I think maybe 4 x 5k a week was too much after the 10wk break. π€π»π€π»π€π» for no 3!

I have been struggling.Perhaps I still am.Itβs been a drama and saga.How long have you got.π€ππ
Briefly,
1) In lockdown built upto 31km and 6 hours continuous trotting,no perceived injury.
2) Took a 10 week ? gardening break no injury.
3)Binned my C25k planned return on 1st Sept.,and opted for 4x 5kβs per week and applying 10% rule and building from there.
4) After 2 weeks left leg hip and calf pain stopped me for 2 weeks.
5)Commenced C25K on the 28/09/20 and decided to go to every alternative day.Nursed myself through to 9.1 / 25 runs by 13/11/20.
6)Same injury returns.It has put me out for 24 days,50 cocodamol and 50 Zapain later managed to do run 9.2.
7) Still on meds., leg behaving itself, got a telecon consultation with physio Friday.,I think I may have inflicted a stress fracture and run through it.
Sorry for the epistle IP.I feel I could not organise a P up in a brewery.π€π
It might help someone what not to do.
