Cr12 finally! 🤣

Morning all!it's been a while! After a week working away I finally managed to get a run today, my first since Sunday. I'm also way behind on posts so gonna have a flick through today to see what I've missed lol

Run details for today, first 10 felt awful! Lack of running plus cold air and I was convincing myself I should be running to a&e 🤦🏼‍♂️ battled on telling myself I'd just do 30 mins and walk home. The minutes ticked by and my breathing was terrible, couldn't get right. 90s dance bangers drove me ever onward though and despite everything I felt like I was near a good pace. Decided against checking times and just kept running, it was later than usual for me so got held up several times for traffic and even once for weaving in and out of people on a change of shift at the hospital 🤣. My previous longest run was 40 mins and at the point I reached that last time I checked my watch and I had ages left! Again I kept going, driven on by potential PBs 🤣 you know it's bad when you reach home and decide to keep on running 🏃🏃🤣 anyway added a new PB for distance in 45 mins, would have beaten my 5k record I think if not for roads (managed just over 27 minutes today) easily beat my distance in 40 mins time and COULD have managed a little further if I'd been so inclined.

Shocked and pleased! When I set off I really didn't think I'd make 30 mins but by the end it just felt steady and nice to be running 😁

Great. Consolidation run Jericho2332, that chilly air can get the breathing a little muddled, when it's really cold I'll use my running buff/snood and just almost use it like a mask, those increases in your runs are spot on it's not wise to throw in big increases, as a rule 10% 👍

Good to hear from you. Well done. It’s funny how sometimes we read posts where an inauspicious start ends up turning completely around: breakthroughs, PBs or the call of the gazelles!

Nice Jericho. Bleedin traffic, annoying as hell.

That's impressive!

7.85km at 5'43"/km pace.

Wow- I can’t believe how far you’re getting on your runs! Sounds like it’s becoming natural to you to run for longer. My most is 40mins but covering a lot shorter distance than yours- 5.5K You’ll soon be at 10k - your gazelles have definitely got their running shoes on !! 🦌🦌🦌

Ah just scrolled down and found your run write up. Crikey, you are totally "gazelling" it (is that a word, it is now?!) Cracking pace and distance.. But ohh those runs where you can't get the breathing right at the start 🙄 I think we all know how they feel. Well done for sorting it out and pushing on. I really hate it too when it starts to get busy in the morning with school and people, cars etc. All that weaving in and out, a right pain. That is a big motivator for me in the mornings to get out early to avoid all the activity and enjoy a quiet run 🦌🦌🦌
