Well, you could just take the pressure off completely for a couple of weeks and just go out and run for 30 minutes. No agenda at all! Run somewhere different, just for enjoyment. You can make your plans after that! I wish Iβd done that instead of immediately setting myself new targets π
Hi interesting reply because I've just graduated, and my first thought was "gotta get to 5k now". Well that is my aim...but I like the sound of just cruising for a while, just enjoying the runs. I found my W9 runs were really comfortable and I guess that's a good place to be.... Still in my infancy running wise also. Each to their ownππππββοΈππ’π
That was my thought, too! I ended up pushing hard on every run until one day I just didnβt want to run. So I decided to run slowly for longer on one of my runs. I do speed work, too and revisit 5K occasionally to see how itβs going! π
Cheers Jools2020...I'm taking note of your cautionary tale. It's so easy to get caught up with targets etc. Thanks for your post...it's helped convince me that slow and steady is still a good place to be for now. ππββοΈππ’π
Thanks, GailXrunning. Yes, it certainly is. I hope I can keep it up, suddenly thinking about ways to keep going π€. Thanks for your encouragement, best wishes to you too. ππ½ββοΈππ½ββοΈ
Thanks! Yes, very true, it seemed like a distant target in the first week. Good luck for your your last 2 runs, see you here with your graduation badge soon!
Whoop whoop π. Mine today. Still pitch black so putting it off - which is never a good start! Well done π
Congratulations to you too! ππ such a great achievement. Iβll keep a watch on your progress to keep me going! Best wishes for your running journey ππ½ββοΈπ
