Completed Couch to 5k!!

So pleased and relieved, after a few wobbly moments - redoing and stretching a few weeks, managed to do three 30 minute runs, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Today’s run was not fast, it was a just get through it run. But I’m so pleased.

Thank you!! I’ll keep running I want to see how I’ll do on a Parkrun an actual 5k, I’m doubtful I ran 5 kilometres but don’t tell anyone!!

Only a small proportion of graduates from this forum who responded to a poll, managed 5k in 30 minutes by graduation healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

Graduation requirements are that you complete three thirty minute runs, regardless of distance.

Congratulations!. I graduated in August and am still way off 5k in 30 minutes... Don't worry about speed. I have plodded on and suddenly realised today that I am going a little faster with no extra effort. Not fast compared with some, but faster than before 😁

Thank you. Yes that was the thing C25K kept saying duration not speed. I deffo keep running. It’s so nice having such stronger lung power!

And all of a sudden last week I ran 10k without needing oxygen at the end... Not great speed but I kept going. Amazed!!!
