Sunday morning run in the grey and the damp - and I’m still smiling 😊

Up and out at 8 - grey and damp outside but off I went. I was tempted to stop at 1.5k because so just wasn’t feeling ‘it’ but I carried on. At around 3k I was pulled up short with discomfort in my right hip. Did a few moves to see if I could release the joint and it worked so off I went again.

I was running laps around a bit of a scrappy circuit in my local park and lost count and decided to finish (was bored by this point) then I had a thought - you feel fine, your breathing is fine, your legs aren’t heavy and your hip doesn’t hurt anymore - what on earth are you stopping for?!? So I did another lap before heading home.

Did my longest run - 5.5k and feel fabulous 😊

Brilliant! Never judge a run on the first kilometre or two - it takes a while to warm up and find your rhythm. You certainly got into your stride and beat all those gremlins hands down! Great job (and a run to remember if you feel the same way again early on in your run)😊
