So after a good few runs where everything went well and came together, I guess it was about time that a more challenging run cropped up for me.
It was sunny, not particularly cold and I planned a pretty flat route... should have been perfect running conditions, yet today was one of those days where running just felt hard, my legs were heavy and I really had to fight myself to keep going until the end of the 30 minutes π₯ thankfully I did manage to complete the run and Iβm glad I got outside and got some fresh air in the process. Running certainly has its up and downs!
Lots of water for me over the next couple of days to try and combat those heavy legs and onwards to the second week of consolidation runs next week. Fingers crossed for some more βeasyβ/gazelle runs π€πΌ
Have a good weekend all! πππΌββοΈ

Definitely agree! My lucky streak may have run out but itβs not all doom and gloom, it will make the next good run I have an even better one for sure βΊοΈππΌββοΈ
Got out there and did it πͺπ» not always the easiest, especially on a cold weekend morning! Well done on the run and fingers crossed for easier ones next week π€π»ππ»
So interesting; it seems these tougher sessions are all part of the texture, and even pop up when you least expect (perfect conditions). And - Iβm thinking back to the MLK quote in acountycabbageβs photomontage - it will only make the good runs shine all the more! β¨
Itβs inspiring that you completed your run nonetheless.
Well done for getting out and seeing it through- the gazelles must have all ran off these last couple of days as I felt the same on mine yesterday- felt like I was running and not getting anywhere. The cold has an affect on me too, gives you that slight ache in your lungs like what you get when your getting out of breath but your not really tired but it slows you down anyway. Weβll tick those runs off and get back to bouncy, energetic, gazelle legs next run π¦
Hi Laura runs, crazy isn't it how some runs seem so comfortable and others are so damned hard...and we may never know the specific reason?? But you got out there and stuck with it...that's a real victory ...you didn't give up. So well done you and I think you deserve a big pat on the back, or a double G&T, or whatever your tipple isππ. Good on yer. ππππ
