A pretty decent run spoiled by the return of the knee niggle about 2/3 of the way around. Weekends rest now, Saturday hike has been cancelled 😢 but at least can keep leg use to a minimum so I'm fit for next week. Started misty and spooky but was pretty decent by the time I'd got home. Tried the wired earphones under the buff and though they stayed in they were still annoying as hell, I'm gonna have to splash out on some actual wireless earbuds 🤣maybe put them on my Xmas list 😁 the music was quite chilled and relaxed and never really got me going, with the exception of the excellent "hooked on a feeling" by Bjorn Skifs and Blue Swede which put a massive smile on my face and a little extra pep in my step 🤣 but I think I'm gonna have to go a little more up tempo next week.
I hope everybody running today has a good one, remember if your just starting or close to the end... You will do this! 💪🏻

You did well again despite the challenges- I can picture the scene-running along, little, cross face with your poorly knee, wobbly earphones and uninspiring tunes😂 get a bit of Rick Astley, Pet Shop Boys and Take That in there or bring it to 2020 with a bit of Lizzo -Good as hell, to liven you up! Your comment at the end about everybody running today made me laugh ... reminded me of the 80’s cop series Hill Street Blues when they went out on the streets, the chief said, “Let’s be careful out there people” !😂 I’ll remember your advice when I do my first consolidation run later 👍🏻 Well done again
Well done Jericho 😃 Another consolidation under your belt and a steady pace too, given the niggles etc. Loving the chilled playlist! Watch that knee..! I know how a dodgy knee can impact a run, slap a bag of frozen peas on it this evening and some muscle balm or Deep Heat if you have it. A bit of rest and you will be ok for sure. However, long term, as I've been told so many times by the pros, if you run without strengthening those joints, they will make themselves a nuisance so you might want to think of a strength training plan to work into your new fitness. I smashed a strength session today, legs like jelly and will regret it tomorrow when I can't sit down unaided 😜
I should look into doing a bit of strengthening, it does tend to be my left knee which is my weaker side, maybe if I trained it up a bit I wouldn't get the problem? Worth looking into for sure 👍🏻
