Well done Zane2G on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1, welcome to the forum, I am sure you will enjoy your running, onwards and upwards to run 2 and the rest of the program up to week 9 run 3 in 9 weeks time when you will graduate, however, if you wish to repeat any runs or weeks there is no harm in doing so, a good healthy diet as well will help you with your fitness and weight.
Well done! You’ve made the first step, I’m only a couple of weeks ahead of you but it’s the best thing I’ve done for a long time! I’m starting W3 tomorrow and unbelievably for me, I’m excited to exercise!! I’m an overweight mid forty year old male who needed to do something so I’m around to see my grandkids! Keep going!👏👏👏
I’ve just started week I too. I did my first run yesterday, and it was not too bad. I’m overweight by over 2 stone and got a few miles on my own clock, but at least we are out and giving it a go.

Well done. The hardest thing is getting out there. Keep posting on here and you'll receive lots of support and motivation from fellow c25k'ers. And take it slow and steady to build stamina - pace will come later. It's a great programme - I won't lie to you, every run is hard, but the feeling afterwards is definitely worth it! All the best to you
Well done Zane - you've done the hardest bit now! I was in exactly the same place a few weeks ago and I cannot overstate the difference running has made to me, physically and mentally. My advice would be to trust the programme and just do what it says, no excuses, rain or shine. Don't push too hard and get plenty of rest too. You will be astounded! All the very best for it!
I’m kinda in the same boat as you re. motivation for anything and I too did my first run yesterday. Let’s smash this!
Woohoo. Well done. Please keep posting your progress. As others have said, the hardest bit for most of us is getting out there. The programme is brilliant and well structured. Just take it steady and you will amaze yourself!
