It’s taken me days longer to get to CR5 than I’d hoped because after Saturday’s lockdown announcement work has gone mad again whilst we try to prepare for what’s coming.
Every evening since Monday I’ve looked longingly out of my window at 5 and then had to turn back to emails and stuff 😔
By last night, I knew I had to stop and get out there. What if I’d lost my 🏃♀️ mojo?
Hastily changing I did some dynamic warm ups and headed for the back door with 🧢 in hand as it was going to be cold 🥶
Well, it flipping well was and the 🧢 went straight on! CazzaW and all you Northern 🏃♀️ are amazing for getting out there. I felt a right old southern wuss! 😆
First time using the NRC app I chose a Headspace run for those needing more motivation with a 31 minute 🏃♀️. I hadn’t reckoned on other apps not doing a warm up walk (note to self for the future) so I walked for 3 minutes then started a gentle 🏃♀️. It felt good even as I was running up hill. More in control if you know what I mean 😊
As I got towards the end I felt good enough that I thought I’d run last the end of the 🏃♀️ for 3 minutes to hit the 31 minute mark... well what do you know? I’m sure I played too many musical statues games when I was a kid because as soon as the music stoped I suddenly feel as though I had to stop!!! How irritated with myself do I feel??? 🤯
I managed just over a further minute before I fizzled out 🙄
So what have I learnt? Get myself a good pair of 🧤 rather than a 🧢 because it was too hot to wear very quickly 🥵
If I’m going to use NRC app make sure I set a 40 minute run because then I’ll do at least 30 and still get in my warm up walk 😆
