🍏Struggle Run

🍏Here on the N.E. coast there was a bitterly cold wind as I set off determinedly for my first run since my holiday in Canada. For various reasons the NRC app “Struggle Run” appealed to me and Coach Bennett didn’t let me down. His amazing way of getting one to think through the issues & his words of wisdom are so very helpful. This was a 25min run but I managed another 5mins to get out of the cold wind faster 🤣 It feels good to be back inside with a warm drink & a happy heart. Run done✅ at last.

Thanks Annie, well, I'm going to Southampton on Saturday so hopefully I won't hold the tail walker up too much. My frien went to the doctor's with hers and was diagnosed chest and sinus infection, but being viral it's just a waiting game

I too crochet a lot more since lockdown. I came across Sue Maton and a free pattern called Crojo Retro and haven’t looked back. I do both, knitting in the evening whilst watching tv.

Hi Annie, welcome home. I did the Struggle Run last week as I seem to have lots of aches and pains in this cold, damp weather. I was so inspired I just kept going after the 25 mins and ended up doing 45!!! I started really slowly and let my muscles warm up gradually and it must have worked. Going out again shortly and hoping to do a festive parkrun on Saturday. Have a fab Christmas 🤶 🌲

Welcome back to GB runs Annieapple. I loved the Struggle Run and how Coach B reframed the word "struggle" To struggle is really so much more positive than I thought. I'm intending to run it again tonight when the winds here in sunny South Lanarkshire are set to be 20 mph rising to 50 when we're hopefully tucked up in our beds. Not forgetting though that sometimes "no run is a good run" 😂

I’ve just done that one too 👍🏻. With work, family issues, Christmas and a cold 🤧 I hadn’t run in 10 days (most unlike me 🤷🏻‍♀️) I ran to my Christmas tunes too which always perks me up. I’m glad we finally made it out and feel much better afterwards. Cool ol’ Coach Bennett 😁 Merry Christmas 🎄
