Completed my first run today. It was much harder than expected. But hoping it will become easier 🤞

Well done. It does get easier... make sure you go at a slow pace... that’s what makes it more achievable. ....

You’re welcome..... After lots of years of very little physical exercise... I started C25K 11 weeks ago... went at the first set of weeks run as if I was a regular runner.... result.... knee injury.... rested for 3 weeks and then started all over again...

I have learned that it’s not the pace, speed, splits or times. It’s all about personal achievement....

It does get easier, because you get fitter, but the runs get longer too.

You will find many people telling you to slow down and they are right.

Many will also tell you week x,y or z is the hardest.

But you have completed the most important step: got off the couch.

As Dups says (and being a graduate they should know):

it is indeed addictive (in a good way!)

You may find that a lot of us are old codgers over 50 plus, but the advice is still appropriate to younger runners.
