I have a new respect for all those runners out there! I'm now on week 6 of the couch to 5k having never ran in my life after experiencing painful shin splints as a teenager. I actually thought I was going to pass out on week one after running 60 seconds. Just one more run in week 6 and I'm so proud of myself even though my legs are stiff!

Can't quite believe it!
Congratulations on completing weeks 1 to 5 of C25K, you are now over halfway through the program, congratulations especially on completing run 3 of week 5, once runners complete that run, they know that they will graduate in around 4 weeks time, onwards and upwards. 😊 🏃🏾
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
Well done speedy 👏 only one more run then into W7. The runs are all longer ones now with no more intervals so keep it slow and steady and drink lots of water. The guide that Iannoda has sent is invaluable.
Good luck with the rest of the runs 😊
Well done speedygonzalez you’ve every right to be proud of yourself, like you I still look back to week 1 and can’t believe how far I’ve come....keep up the good work 👍
