D3 / W5 Complete

I cycled a good bit over the Summer and with some healthier eating I have lost 5 stone since January.

With less lumber to be carrying I decided to try running - no problem I thought !

Well on D1 of C25k I couldn’t complete some of the 60 second runs . This coupled with the fact that I didn’t stretch after and was walking like John Wayne for a few days .

Since then I’ve been going out religiously making sure I drink loads of water the night and morning before runs and making sure I stretch EVERY TIME after . Since day 1 I haven’t stopped running when told to .

Finished week 5 and really surprised with myself being able to run for a while 20 minutes but aware there are more challenges ahead .

Congratulations!!! That's incredible and super motivating. I've just finished week 5 run 1 and am worried about run 3, any tips?

Hi mate. I tried to remove any distractions so I didn’t have any excuses .

This time I teed up all positive upbeat tunes . I had a good brekkie planned after so something to look forward to after it .

I took it a steady pace all through .

The last 2/3 minutes were tough but not tough that I was thinking of stopping.

Don’t overthink it . You’ll be fine !

Epic! Lost 5 stone, too, since around same time as yourself, so I know how good it feels.

Thanks a lot. Tbh, I realised I was making a lot of pain noises when getting up from a sitting position. Still have ~1/2 stone to lose to reach optimal BMI. Hoping in the next few weeks I’ll be there.

Wow... congrat’s on a couple of things.. 3 actually

1. Your 5 stone weight loss

2. Your W5 run completion

3. Your determination

It’s great to read!

C25k is magical for changing mindset isn’t it but well done for all that you’re doing! 👏👏

W5R3 was my nemesis but reality was it ended up being one of my most comfortable runs 🤷‍♀️
