Week 8 Run 2 ---- warm up the band, nearly there!

I'm on 10 till 8 shift today, so I was up bright and early for my second run of Week 8. It's clear and cold here in Suffolk this morning, great weather for running, and at 7:15 there aren't many other people around....or so I thought. I take my dog Scamp with me, a lot of my run is on the edge of open fields, so I can let him off the lead. But what's this? Other runners and other dog walkers are up and about, so I kept having to stop to put him on the lead as I chugged slowly along the path, so that's stuffed my times. I find the first 5 minutes of the run quite tough, as it's up a slow rocky path for the first few hundred yards, but if I can reach the farm gates without stopping then I can settle into the run. 28 minutes later, that's me done and dusted, and another run marked off the chart. I'll finish Week 8 on Friday, then next week I'm into the final week.....I can hear the band tuning up, and the Fat Lady heading off to her dressing room. Almost there.
