Hi all.. long time since I've been on here. . 2 years ago I completed C25K with the wonderful support of the group members. . Had a wonderful time sharing our stories of our struggles and success during the program. .loved it!
Sadly due to injury (fracturing a bone ) I had to stop running. . Two years later..I've joined the gym and built up slowly to begin again πͺ
I'm on week 3 first run completed today π feels good to be trying again. .I'm doing it on the treadmill though easier on the old bones (54)
So hI all and really hope some of my old friends are still out there ππ
Happy Running x

Welcome back sparky66, you may remember me AlMorr from two years ago, your name "rings a bell" for me, quite a few no longer on the forum, there are a few new members as well as some like me who are still here.
That's OK with me, we are all here to help each other, since you left 2 years ago, I graduated from C25K on 18th June 2018, then graduated on running a 10K on the 28th August the same year, I have ran 10/10K's, a 11K, 12K, 13K and 10 miles this year on the 22nd July, I am wondering if I should run a HM the day I am thinking of running another 10 miles, it really depends how I feel after the 10 miles.
Update, I WALKED a half marathon in July 2021, however, for the last 3K's I ran slowly as I wanted to complete it in less than 3 and a half hours, I do NOT count that as running an HM, my time altogether was 3 hours and 18 minutes, perhaps sometime in 2022 I might consider running an HM, it's a big might.
Yes Still here... still running... still slow and steady!
Building back is a great thing to do...and C25K is a perfect place to begin. You know the from, you know what is coming and there is absolutely no pressure whatever
Take it gently and enjoy, and please, do keep us posted x
I still run and I still ramble... about to create one for Bridge to10K ! Pulling back a little right now, as the current situation has tired me mentally and physically... I was a tad late accepting that, but now, am focussing on upping my strength and stamina work ( do pop in to the Strength and Flex forum for some great ideas), for building back up , as you are
I graduated July β18 and Iβm still here! Still trying to tackle hills (not keen) and break the habit or round numbers (must be 5k. 30 min that sort it thing!) π€£ Getting better at it. Good luck with the restart. I donβt envy you the treadmill π³
Ha ha. .I'm sure with the amount of time trying you gotta get there πͺ
I must admit treadmill running does not compare to running in nature. .I miss it so much. .but past experiences have taught me to take it easy. .so treadmill it is. ... for now π
