Wk7 R2- Too late (lazy😴) for ‘The Cloak of Invisibility’🧙🏻‍♀️😂

I was tired (and probably a bit reluctant) this morning .

Usually a 6am alarm and out by ,at the latest, 6:30.

Crucial in my early self conscious weeks so I wasn’t seen.

Not out today until 7 so no chance of invisibility . The hardy golfers were at the 7th hole by then and there is whole a new world of dog walkers, cyclists and runners out by then too !

Anyone else wish they could attach a rear view mirror to watch the feet of other joggers . I can’t help watching people’s feet these days. I think ‘they look good,..... running properly 😂 ....... wonder do my feet look kinda like that 🤔? ‘ even in the car I ‘m looking at joggers style .🙄

My excuse , no actually, a valid reason for my lateness is it’s DARK now !! So I lie in bed waiting for the light which is of course a peak time for the gremlins👹😈😖

I have two ‘warring’ gremlins 👹 you’re so slow and 👺 gosh you’re a bit out of puff and look a bit 🍅like.

This morning their chatter was incessant but I reminded myself I was just going to ‘jog along to some music’ - no overthinking . Set a 25minute timer and that’s you’re lot 👌

I put a Carly Simon album on (as I’d forgotten all about her until wk6 when I put You’re so vain & mockingbird on a playlist) . So a nice chilled and smooth album to keep my pace slow, steady and consistent.

Just enjoy the run, the scenery and the tracks . The tracks were good, scenery not so good ( a Haar had rolled in so the usual lovely sights were pretty invisible . Those golfers go out in all sorts though 😂).

The Run ? Well I did it , but some of it I could tell was the ‘steady’ I was aspiring to but Between 15 to 20 I knew I was getting a bit 🥵 , tried to slow down but was so conscious of it didn’t make a good job of it .

Got to 25 but know I could make it more comfortable for myself . So a run pretty much like R1 and still a bit of work to do on ‘ not bolting out of the barn’

The good thing is It still never crosses my mind that I can’t get the run done and I am still looking forward to doing it again to see if I can steady the pace better.

I remember doing it with Wk5R3 and focusing on exactly this issue and I did it , just need to remember that 🤔

Once home I looked at my app data and the first half was too fast , I can see I slowed down (had to 🥵) and the last five mins crept up again 🤷🏼‍♀️

I will crack it though ! 😠😂 Too besotted with it not to 😝

Happy weekend running everyone 🍂🍂🍂🍂

Looking at other runners' form is something I do it all the time now, especially when driving round. I was watching the "Great North Run" replacement programme on BBC1 last Sunday, and criticising the gait of a few of the runners. "Look at that lady, she's over-striding." etc. 😉

I tend to look at other jogger’s gaits as they overtake me 🤣🤣🤣

Looks like you’re really getting to grips with this running lark, well done! W7R1 tomorrow for me 😬

Yes, definitely a bit darker, a bit cooler. On the plus side, you should be reaching that point where, actually, you don't care what you look like (much) because you're in the zone! (Sadly, the tomato glow stays with me long after after I've finished the run and left the zone far behind 😬)

Fab post, congrats on another run under your belt! ✅✨And for winning against the pesky gremlins 🙌🏼

It’s great to hear you always know you can get it DONE! The dream! 😃

Thanks 😂 slightly less sure of myself at around 20 mins 🥵. I think I’m just determined to keep going to the end so I can try and sort my pace out 🤷🏼‍♀️

Today was not to be the day 🍅🥵🍅

Pace will hopefully come more naturally the more running is a regular thing for us. A comfy casual 30min jog is just around the corner! 👍🏼
