Week 8 run 1 - Different route

Changed my route up again today and ran along the beach.

Partner scooted (scootered?) along beside me/in front of me/around me 😂.

Felt really tired today, 5 minutes in I was questioning whether I could continue and then I noticed a bunch of kite surfers. Completely took my mind of the run, watching all their tricks and flips, so much so that I reached halfway without realising it.

Continued plodding on for the next half, with much needed distraction being provided by someone riding a penny farthing. When Jo announced I had finished I let out a whoop of joy, which was echoed by penny farthing guy, who had been riding alongside.

Was a little perturbed that there was no “1 minute left” announcement but my pride at finishing overrode this.

So much entertainment today has me wondering how to make every run be like this. Perhaps I can find a clown/juggler for next week? 😂

Someone else on the same run this morning mentioned not getting the 1min announcement either. It’s good to know in advance!

It certainly was a bizarre run today 😂 not that I minded.

I think if I had been aware there was no 1 minute announcement I would have been more likely to time watch - so probably a good thing I hadn’t known in advance.
