You should read βWhy We Eat (Too Much)β by Dr Andrew Jenkinson. It will soon put you off eating cakes!
Itβs the most interesting book Iβve read in a long while and I learnt so much I didnβt know (and I thought I knew a lot about nutrition! π ) It will put you off sugar, processed food, vegetable oils and calorie-restricted diets thatβs for sure.
That is making me hungry just looking at the photo (and I have just eaten breakfast!!).

I saw your post yesterday and have ordered the cookbook. I have been inspired. I enjoy cooking but don't seem to find the time some days. I find it difficult to cook for one. I do usually batch cook when I have the time. How can I create more hours in the day?
I am actively trying to put on weight. I lost a stone through the stress of my husband leaving and still weigh less now than I did at college 20+ years ago. Well a new decade starts in 2 weeks. They say life begins at 40, so lets see if it does.
I also struggle to keep my weight on - just my metabolism I think as I have a really good appetite! π I end up eating far too much unhealthy food ( especially as snacks) which is not the answer!π€·ββοΈ
I did it once about 2 and a half years ago and lost 2.5 stone ! But then slowly 1 stone came back before I started running , I have now managed to loose half of that
