Wk6R3 ✅ The aura of grumpiness from R2 has lifted 😂👌

Feeling great from this mornings Run3 , I’m sure I’ve been quietly frowning and been out of sorts since Saturdays R2 which I achieved but didn’t feel at all confident with.

Today it was blowing a gale at the house so I knew it would be blowing an absolute ‘Hoolie’ where I normally run (coastal) but I was in no mood for route changes this run was going to get done and dusted .

To date, not my fave week Wk6 😰

I used the same playlist as my 20 min wk5 run with just an additional track to make it 25min run.

So off I went with Dire Straits, Elvis, the two Bruce’s, Billy, The Eagles and Elton in tow again. The songs were a great distraction but the ‘doubting gremlins ‘ were out in full force this morning and for the first time I was questioning ‘why was it that I was doing this again ‘? 🤔 .

I didn’t struggle exactly, I never at any point thought of stopping but I did find it hard , Mostly because of my constant checking of ‘ how I feel’ , but I know I’m overthinking the pace thing .

So I brushed the gremlins off and got on with it . When Crocodile Rock came on I knew I only had 3 and a bit minutes to go and got a second wind and, dare I say it, lengthened my stride a bit ? And those 3+ minutes felt different and really good !

So I’ve given up looking like a wet weekend , which it was here and today I’ve felt back ‘at the top of my spiral’ . Feeling the legs a bit now but looking forward to my rest day , keeping hydrated and starting wk7 in better mood 😂😂

Now that I’ve got the 25 mins under my belt I look forward to building on that and consolidating what I’ve done . Hopefully just get better , get to 30 mins and think less !

I am also going along to a Small running club who are running a C25K just now as I think a bit of company over winter will encourage me to get some regular runs in and some informal coaching /jogging with others might help me with my pace .

Anyone else done this ?

Autumn is here .....so many apple trees laden . Apple Press time 🍎🍏

Great music choice, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, well done on running in the wind, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs. 🏃🏾

Glorious! I've had a lovely lot of apples from my trees for the first time since I planted them. I did c25k (the first time) with a local running group, it was a great way to do it.
