Wk6 r3- ditched the hubby and the pooch for tunes 😃

As hubby had an early start, we decided to go this evening. However, the gremlins started “ why don’t you do now etc”. So I thought I would ditch them both and pop in my earplugs.

All set with my 80 trance anthems and Jo and off I went. Decided not to go around all the fields and went through the park, on the high street ( upped my pace when I went past the tea rooms, people outside enjoying their ice creams and didn’t want to look like a novice ha ha ) then over on to the fields.

By the time Jo called half time I had past a few dog walkers and was starting to tire a little, at this point my hubby would be encouraging me, or I would be tripping over the pooch 🐕. I dug in, had a slug of water and turned the music up.

The final 5 mins weren’t too bad, I did try to quicken my pace but I didn’t have it in me, weather was warm too 20 degrees full sun, also had to dodge the farmers harvesting the onions.

Felt great when I finished, not a great pace, just recorded the run itself not the walking and it was just over 8km/hr .. BUT the main thing is I didn’t stop and I feel fab 😊.

Thank you, although I don’t quite feel like a runner just yet, more of a just get through it 😂. I’m sure that will change in time.

Well done JulesL!!! 25 mins nonstop is just brilliant. Delighted for you. I just couldn’t run by myself - my pooch has to be by my side. I spend bits of the run turning round to make sure he’s still there but he keeps me going!!! Bring on week 7!!!!

Thanks 😊. I know 25 mins ha ha. I couldn’t take her, she is too distracting, as a gun dog she gets everywhere and there are too many tourists and dog walkers in our village at the moment. I did take her out this evening for a long walk, which helped my aching muscles 👍🏻

Lol. Walking Ollie, as usual, tomorrow morning. It will be a bit of a chore (legs feeling the run) but it’s a wonderful way to start the day. And it’s Friday!!!! Have a great weekend.
