Wk5R3 done it!

Today’s run felt like I was a proper runner. Running for 20minutes would have seemed laughable a few weeks ago but the programme clearly works and I was so pleased to have run for 20 minutes without stopping. I run at quite a slow jog (I’m over 60) but I still did it and enjoyed it.

Really need to change some of the music as I find I need an uplifting two-beat song to keep going and some of them didn’t cut the mustard.

Treating myself to a bacon and egg breakfast to celebrate!

Well done RR, that's fantastic. That W5R3 run is the magic one, you know you've achieved something great when you hit that. I'm only two runs ahead of you but take comfort in knowing that now you've done that run, the rest isn't so scary after all 😁💪🏃‍♀️

Well done to you. I completed W5R2 yesterday and was so proud of myself running 8 minutes. I struggled weeks ago at running a minute and never saw myself reaching this point. I usually complete each week twice before I move on to the next week. Tomorrow I will do the R2 again and then start R3 on Monday. Feeling a bit scared about that but this forum gives you the encouragement to keep going. Something positive came out of Covid for me as never thought I could do something like this and doing it on my own.

I was apprehensive about the run too but with the music on and Laura giving encouragement every five minutes, it wasn’t a struggle. Good luck!

Thank you. Excited and apprehensive at the same time. It’s amazing how much progress we make on this.

Amazing and never thought I would be able to do this. The forum is good as it gives us all encouragement to keep going and makes us realise we are all in the same boat

Well done ! That's a milestone run in the program. 😁👍

Be mindful with week 6 runs 1 and 2 as they trip people up with going back to intervals !

Thank you. Are those runs to build up speed and stamina?

Intervals will certainly do that over time , but from week 6 run 3 it's just running all the way !

Well done! 🙌🏼 A milestone run ☀️ Yes, music is everything, especially after you lose intervals from W6R2. I’m creating some soundtrack style playlists to really zone out during the impending longer runs. Best of luck with W6!

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just, I hope you enjoyed your bacon and egg breakfast after that wonderful achievement,
