w5/r3 - wow!!

After a dreadful night sleep (stressing about the 20 minute, no break run), I crawled out of bed early, exhausted but determined to do it. I was so grateful to @acountrycabbage who offered to run her run at the same time as me for moral support - even though it was early, thank you CC! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Cannot believe I did it, I never thought I would be able to run for 20 minutes without a break but I did!!! I sort of went into auto pilot and after the first 10 mins struggle, it got easier in a way as I started to think about other things to distract me.

I was mighty relieved when Jo came in at the end to say I’d done it.. those final 2 mins were a killer as was uphill slightly.

Not sure whether to repeat it or keep going??

Loving this forum and those friends I’ve made.. thank you for your support - especially CC! X

You don't need to repeat that run, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran πŸƒπŸΎ 😊

Excellent well done , that's a milestone run to get under your belt πŸ˜¬πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

But why would you consider repeating it ?

Move on to week 6 😬

Only because Jo mentioned might want to repeat it before moving on, otherwise I’m fine to move to next one. I’m pushing forward πŸ’ͺ

Keep going! You did brilliantly. When you describe going into auto pilot, that was running doing its magic! These longer runs enable you to get into the running zone and relax.

Good luck!

Ahh brilliant, thank you, that makes sense. Will keep going in that case 😊

Hiya, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it and that you had CC and Jo to help.

I think auto pilot is the way to go with running. I have a podcast that runs with me, but I do laugh and it must look odd to people I passπŸ˜†.

Good luck with w6, I did it yesterday. I don't look at the runs before, otherwise I would have sleepless nights.

Take care πŸƒπŸŒˆxx

Well done for completing w6 yesterday, we are doing so well! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Well done Sussex13, W5R3 is a real test of endurance, it’s a great feeling to complete that one. It sounds like you’ve found a method of switching on your auto pilot to keep going πŸ‘
