It will be a run as soon as I’m home and I think I’ll be looking forward to it 🏃🏽‍♀️

Have a good day tomorrow!!

Yes, I started working again on 13 July a couple of weeks before finishing C25K,

It's so inconsiderate 😁

So o usually run now around 06:00 in the morning 😳😴

Wow!! I’m going to see how it goes this week being back. If it works out ok I’ll go with it. If not it will be early doors for me 🙈🤣🤣

I normally run as soon as I get in from work because once I sit down i wont get back up and to go b4 work I'd have to get up at 4 and that's not happening 😔

Yes that’s exactly my plan! There’s not a chance I’m running at 4 or 5! I love my bed 🛌 🤣

Same here. I hate running in the afternoons and evenings aswell. If I run in the morning though I’ll have to set off at 5.30am 🤦‍♀️ as I normally get up at 6am. I’m already demotivated....! X

I’ve been lucky to do it first thing in a morning & then chill at home. It’s going to take a little adjusting to x

I've been working from home since March, and there's no imminent signs of us returning to the office yet.

That said, I've taken the rest of this week as annual leave. I'm just going to do stuff round the house with a couple of fair weather trips out.

Enjoy your annual leave & chill 👍🏻🥰Enjoy your trips too!

Ha! I never stopped work or worked from home so fit running round work hours, it’s very satisfying

Sounds perfect 👌🏻 I’m sure I will get myself into a new routine!

Reading your posts has just hit me with reality! I started C25K at the beginning of lockdown, although I have continued to work, there has been no school runs or after school activities so I have been pretty much able to run when I like. BUT next week it's back to school runs and taking my children to ballet, clubs etc. It's going to be quite a change! Going to have to change my routine. I have become so addicted to running though, I can see myself not happy if I can't do the runs🤔.

This is totally me!! I’m back to school runs too, encouraging a teenager out of bed 🙄 oh the joys!!

However I got home from work a little earlier than planned today! As soon as I was in I got changed and went out for a 4 mile run. I was shattered when I got back, it was 20 degrees with little wind!

It felt good & now I’m thrilled I did it especially after feeling so miffed 👍🏻 We can do this! Good luck x

Well done for going straight out. I don't run as well after work but I feel good and better for it!

Thanks 😊 I had to as I thought of I sat down for 5 minutes that would be it! I’m glad I did x

I know that inconsiderate thing called work!! 😂 Whilst I was furloughed I had a great routine of having enough days rest between runs but then being able to run on any days, not limited to work schedule !!

I’ve loved being able to pick when I go! First thing for me was cooler, quieter & once it was done it was done!

Felt refreshing knowing that exercise was fine for the day

Oh yes, i return to work tomorrow too. I feel your pain! I am not a morning person at all, I could never run early mornings. Ugh! I usually run round 11 0r 12. On Sunday evening I went for a 7 pm run to prep for this week abd it was a revelation. It was cooler, quieter and i ran my fastest time! I will be tired after work but it'll be a case of gear laid out, change and out. If I don't do that I'll be settling in for the night. Looking forward to a couple of evening runs now. Keep doing what you're doing

Hope you have a good day back at work tbh it wasn’t that bad being back! I did exactly that, got in, got changed and ran 💪🏼 shattered now but worth it as I feel refreshed and pleasantly relaxed 😎

I'm going to have to change my times too. I've been going at 8am to avoid the heat and it's a good start to the day, but I run in a park near a primary school so once that reopens I'll be careening into buggies and scooters. Trying to decide between an earlier run or a different route.

Jnubster profile image
JnubsterGraduate in reply to Crolla

Oh yes, I expect it will be busy as school will be open! Maybe avoid that! Might be good to try a different route? Good luck xx

I’m really struggling with this, I work 7 till 5.15, such long days, can’t go in the morning, no time, after a busy day I just can’t find the energy! I was I’ll for 2 weeks there so ended up having to go back to week 5, tonight should’ve been run 3 but didn’t go 😠, really not happy with myself!

Thanks everyone for all the tips etc, first time I’ve posted but love reading all the chats

Jnubster profile image

If you’ve been poorly your energy levels will be low 😔 don’t be too hard on yourself, give yourself some time to recoup.

You’re probably shattered when you get home after a long day!! Could you do a shorter run? The way I think about it is any run is better than none 💪🏼 take care of yourself first and foremost though xx
