Completed C25K in June , really enjoyed it was determined to keep running, but motivation has slowly dwindled. Want to start again, but not sure where would be a good place to start the program again.

Any suggestions please?

That’s a tough one Gillyp - if you haven’t done anything since June you might find it a bit tough to jump right in ! Why not go back to week 4 or 5 and see how you get on? You can always go back or forward, depending on how you feel. Don’t forget to make sure you’re well hydrated and maybe do some stretches before you start - enjoy it!

Hi, I did some runs in July, but longest was 20 mins. I was thinking around week 4, thanks for the advice 🙂

If you were doing 20 minutes in July, that’s week 5 so you could try that to start! Good luck!

Motivation comes and goes for all of us, whatever the exercise we do. What's important is to make a habit out of it so that you get out of the door even when you don't feel it.

Yeah definitely, I think once I had achieved the whole thing I kind of lost the challenge part of it. Will definitely make an effort again.

Why try the 3 C25k+ podcasts: Speed, Stamina and Stepping Stones? The Nike Run app is also very popular.

I think the main thing is to go out and get running!

If you are running at a 20 minute level currently then you're probably already in great shape for running this sort of distance and have good understanding of how you personally perform.

This might actually be a good opportunity to take control of your fitness - to be your own personal trainer as it were.

So you could pick a total time you're happy to run and choose the ct5k session that matches your training routine. You can then follow the subsequent progammes or jump ahead depending on how you do.

Eventually the goal would be to set your own goals - which might be: regular running at the same distance (repeating the last run), increased distance or reduced time - whatever you choose - the training wheels are off now so it's in your hands!
